So 2 1/2 years ago I parked up my beloved 1994 E320 after a change of job and the option of a company car. Nearly sold her but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I've cleaned her a couple of times, started her last well over a year ago but she hasn't moved off the drive.Hope your all getting the picture...will she wont she start I pondered...:-?...Well, charged up my booster pack at the weekend, connected it up....waited 30 secs, turned the key............she fired up as if I'd parked her the night before........Just how good were these W124's....classics..

My old RR that I bought stood in a barn in Ireland for 30 years, and started and drove with a new battery, all of the piston rings were broke and jumbled up,, but it still ran.


Back to you 124 they were super cars in all respects, going to keep it

I'm certainly going to think about an MOT in the better weather. Seems such a waste to leave her sat on the drive. Thing is I know the value of them is virtually nothing but such alot of car just sitting doing nothing is criminal!!..

The other day I heard of an old 40 year old Fordson tractor that stood in a paddock for ten years and started without any trouble with a new battery and some fresh fuel.
