How much oil.

Quick question for you guys that follow service schedules every day.
Just put 7 lts of oil in my 310 sprinter and it still doesn't show on the dipstick. In the past i've just filled untill the level is reached, this time i measured.
The question is; what does the service book say a refill should be.
Or is it that i got the wrong dipstick for the engine.???????

9 ltrs run it and check, usually with a filter it takes 9.4 ltrs
