practically inaudible on the SL

the only way I can hear them is if I turn the engine off, then they sound like the very far-off ticking of a very quiet clock.
Normal on the C, though, nice bright tick, can be heard over wogan.

Cannot hear mine at all, unless widows are shut, and sterio turned low or off.

With the roof down, never hear them.

But my daugther always reminds me if I leave them on, so it must be my hearing:evil:

Mine are plainly audible under all driving conditions even though they are not very loud. A ticking grandfather clocking produces about the same sound level. Hail stones or heavy rain beating on the roof of the car might drown out their ticking. REGARDS Phil
