How Remote is Remote?

I am unable to unlock my car from any further than a foot from the drivers window.

My former SEL I could unlock from half way across a car park.

The W140 does I believe have automatic closure programmed into it.

Any ideas as to the reason?

put the key fob against your temple and push the button, will double the range.

You have both IR and RF, and the RF has probably failed somewhere
