How to change a bulb in the dash w210? is it easy or should I go to dealer

Hi, it seems one of the bulbs in the dash of the w210 2002 cdi220 isn´t working and causing dimness , how difficult is this to replace , can anyone give me instructions and if its something I could tackle .I don´t want to have to dismantle the dash though .

Check out the DIY section I think there is a posting on this subject - and yes you will have to remove the cluster but it is not a difficult job.

On some 210 cars there is room to get your hand behind to push the cluster out, on others they are so full that the only way is to use the pulling hooks. All MB dealers keep the bulbs. As this is a very late car I think that you will need the hooks

I can pull my w210 2000 dash out from the front(remove the battery earth lead first tho), dont know if thats normal, but certainly makes the job easy
