How to Change Door Lock?

Drivers side door is not the same as the rest of the locks and can not unlock doors. I want to swap door locks (passengers side works with key). How is it done?

Oh shoot, I rewrote the question so many times I left that info out on the last edit.

Its a 1985 500SEC. I believe its the same from 1983 to 1991.

I took another look at getting to it and it looks hopeless. I'll try the Alarm on Ebay for $80 which is made for Mercedes and see if I can get that to work.

the epc looks like it shows a bolt running from the back of the door in to the lock.

im sure i saw a howto on another site www.mbclub.co.uk - ok for a different car, but the principle might be the same
