'cos its a common issue.

Unless you are competant don't attempt it as its filddly and you can break the plastic bits on teh hoses easily.

You take out the scuttle pannel trim, wiper system and then struggle like hell to remove the wiring connector and three hose connections. these are held in by a metal circlip type clip which lifts up. The whole thing sits/clips on a little plastic bracket.

Not easy at all and the first one takes you ages.

Lunch at 10.17 in the morning malcolm, I reckon thats more like brunch!!

Not quite that simple:D call to the post office, then 25 miles to Exeter to pick up my new boot gas struts, in to the carvery for 12pm, finished by 12.30 Picked up some car spare parts and home for 2pm, gas struts fitted by 2.03 pm and back to a pumpkin for the rest of the day, there must be something more to life:sad:

All fixed!

Hey Guys/Ladies

Thank's for all the help/advice into my troubles with my non-heating!! Could not cope any more cold mornings !!

I have had the DuoValve replaced last night and now all working. I can't understand how Mercedes can see all this similar issues occuring in the same models etc and don't do anything.... it's obvious there are problems with the duovalves or maybe they only last 5 years!!!

All the best

Len

We do not get so much problems with these things, its mainly the cars that are 20years old where they fail.

They work on a pulsed signal,, this is an easy way to keep a valve in a certain position.

Pleased that you no longer have cold feet Len
