Can something similar be done on the W211 headlights?....my off side lights look quite grimey compared to the near side ones for some reason.

Yes any plastic can be polished,,it took dosco a fair time to do it,,but the results were very good

If you want fine finnishing you should look for MICROMESH its on ebay. It ranges from
1500 - 12000. I use it for paint polishing on the scale model cars I build. Its very long lasting and can be washed and reused many times, also not expensive.

As an update Greygate was useless on my murky headlight.

Think I am going to have to go the wet and dry route.

I did my E340 H/L and as TV said a lot of work but they came up looking like new.

I used a product called 'Headlight Polishing and Restoration Kit' from sales@ccabrasives.com phone number 0844 8840 120 after using wet and dry paper (started with 600 I think and finished with 2400 grit).

Machinemart sell plastic polishing kits. I've not used one, but their glass kit worked a treat on my windscreens, though being a drill kit it was slightly hard to control the polishing wheel.
