Can anyone please tell me where the gearbox oil topup filler cap is.
I have a slight gearbox oil leak and need to replace the sensor plug
underneath the car, but have been advised from the dealer that I topup
the oil at the same time. I have been told to change the faulty plug with
seal that I need to remove 4 screws from the metal sheid under the car and the plug should be visible. Remove the wire connector/sensor. Remove
the plug and replace the with new one. Did not want to do this if I cannot topup the oil afterwards. Any ideas, help.?

Just had my ATF changed and needed to top it up. Remove anti tamper seal and cap from dipstick tube, get good funnel, pour ATF down the funnel CAREFULLY and SLOWLY. Replace cap.

Get a dipstick from stealership if you can (30 quid or so). Drive car for 10 minutes, leave engine running, cycle box through all the gears, leave engine running - check level with dipstick - repeat above as reqd.

Do you have a 3 year warranty? Will MB fix the leak? You should not have to do this with a 3 year old car.

Thanks for the info, where is the dipstick tube, under the bonnet in the centre at the back?
