The only phones that work properly with the SAP cradle are the Nokia N & E series and the Nokia 6300.

For all others use the HFP (if it supports your phone) or the viseeo MBU-2000 which supports loads of phones.

Alfie,
The viseeo is cheaper and way more flexible by the sound of it. Once by 6230i dies I will have to bite the bullet and go bluetooth- any downside to the viseeo compared to official MB units or is it a no brainer?

The Viseeo is proving to be a really popular product. Not least because we can upgrade the S/W in it so as new phones come along they can be added to its supported list. The Mercedes cradles dont do this.

A classic case was when the iphone 3G came out. The Mercedes HFP cradle wont support address book download once the iphone moves away from S/W 1.1.4 (which is all 3G iphones on V2 or above). The Viseeo was quickly modified to support the 3G iphone and hence customers are queuing up for them.

Does the Viseeo utilise the car antenae? And does it put the phone into sleep mode to reduce battery drain?

the ViseeO does not use the car aerial it uses the phone aerial.

It does not put your phone into low power mode either

The unit that does the above two is the SAP unit. The ViseeO works smililar to the HFP unit
