I can’t work out how to…….

Zoom in on the sat nav screen.

Hi all, just updated my car as my last e class has a coming together with a Jeep Compass and didn’t fair too well.
So i now am the proud owner of a 2011 E350 Amg. I can’t work out how to zoom in on the sat nav though, I have the unit that has a PCMIA slot (audio 30?). The thumb wheel works left right up down and press but doesn’t seem to do anything when rotated? Could this be the problem? If so is there a fix? Or, am I just being stupid and missing something?

Choose a destination, start the route and after that rotate it to zoom in or out ( just my opinion)

Thanks, that confirms I’m not an idiot that’s exactly what i am doing but it does not zoom in when rotated. Ordered a repair kit which hopefully will solve the problem . Thanks again

Had the same after my daughter thought she would climb through to be back seat one day, the rotation no longer worked, I tried a repair but in the end had to get a new unit from MB,

Loads of vids on Youtube, I used them to repair mine, it is easy.

It says the cut the wires - DO NOT DO THIS, there is a plug and you unhook the wire

It's a VERY common problem, the shaft is plastic and just disintegrates
