Hi,
There is no simple way of bypassing the immobiliser on a ML, it is an inert programmed chip in the key fob that releases the immobiliser when in close proximity to the ignition switch.
Can I ask what makes you think the issue is with the immobiliser as opposed to anything else?
Hi and welcome. What are your symptoms?
If it won't turn over it could be immobiliser, starter or starter solenoid.
If it turns over but won't fire it could be injection pump, crank sensor.
Crank sensor failure is fairly common on these engines but not expensive or difficult to fix.
If your alarm system is going haywire and not allowing the car to start it maybe because the alarm siren module is shot, there are batteries inside which degrade over time and destroy the pcb, this can cause all sorts of issues including sometimes stopping the car from starting/ Start error message etc.. it lives below the windscreen wiper motor ( below the scuttle) its a very common problem on many older Mercedes.
