The car sat outside for last 7 months, couldn't get to it cos Boris said no for a while but the passenger footwell now has around 1/2 inch water in it. I make an assumption it is the windscreen and called the usual national windscreen suppliers to see if they would pop it out, replace the seal and put original screen back in. All said cant be done and i need to put a new screen in as it's the screen thats damaged. What.
So, is the seal the most likely culprit and is there a door to door windscreen wallah who will do seals only??

Do you think anyone is willing to only change the seals when the windscreen is likely to be damaged by removing it?
Would you then expect them to replace the screen at their cost?

I would think that the drains from the window scuttles are blocked with debris, bits of leaves etc.

I would be checking these.
Does the screen seal look perished ?

I would check all the drains below the screen first , then lube the roof top seal .
