Hi guys, I'm just wondering if anyone can help me? I have a definate leak from a pipe off the aircon. However, There seems to be oil/something coming out from the idler pulley. Any ideas what it is. This is on my 1996 280E. Thanks

Do you mean the idler pulley as in the pulley on the air con compressor? If so your shaft seal is probably shot on the compressor.

Yes I do mean the pully on the aircon compressor. Am I right in thinking this wont affect my engin. Also how much is this to fix?
Now have another problem, I have leak from power steering pipe but not sure if its the intake or the return feed. Pouring out all over my drive!!!
Thanks Charlotte

You will certainly get a bigger response, most picture threads get well covered.

No need for pics now!! I have established its my SLS oil leaking everywhere!! Have had pipe replaced from bottle holding fluid to the thing where it goes direcly to!! However, this fluid is still leaking somewhere; spraying onto belt making it difficult to pinpoint where its leaking from. Can you recommend anyone in the York area???

I was recommended an indepandant merc specialist in the village of Barwick in Elmet (nearer to leeds than york?) by a good source from an autostore. I've been once for quote for parts, thought it looked rather rough but could be worth a try, im going to take my old 300d there to see what they can tell me and get a quote, but can give you more details when i dig out the card.

That would be great if you manage to dig out their details or even just the name. Thanks.

Could you please use apostrophes instead of commas when required? Cheers. (It's the key next to the Enter key on my Laptop)

Hi Hibbo,
You mean like this?
Hi Lotty, the guy you're after is called Julian, he's a mate of mine. His number is 01132 813672. He's a good bloke and knows his stuff, I would recommend him.
But I think Lotty understood the important content of supercharger's helpful message anyway.
Regards,
Ron

Hi Hibbo, if somone replied to my earlier post ' Leaking Injector 300d w124 ' with any ideas at all whatsoever, i would be so pleased even if it was in German, never mind the apostrophes, commas etc!

Good for you. im going to give him a call next week, another injector has started doing the same, the one i had previously swapped to see if it was the injector that was the prob, but that proved negative. Got a feeling a new head will be required. Oh, what was the problem then?
