You need to get it code read to resolve. Similar happened to our 2007 CLK and the code reader pinned it down to a specific failed sensor in the front bumper which I replaced.

My 209 parktronic plays up often too. I've just resorted to manually turning it off every time l start the car. I'm not impressed with the parktronic system at all so haven't bothered to get it repaired. The sensors on my mate's 20 year old Toyota are vastly better.

From Ebay I guess about three years ago. Supposedly new Bosch but the price was so low I did wonder. Anyway they have worked fine ever since.

Re the Parktronic as a system... for me all it needed to be perfect was nicely graduated beeps rather than just that final beep as you are very close to something. My 5-series BMW had these and it was so much easier to listen rather than looking at the displays... particularly looking at the Mercedes one in the rear mirror.

If you mean the car's own warning display no that will not diagnose a fault like this... you need a Mercedes specialist with a code reader or a DIY code reader like the iCarsoft.

Assuming you mean an iCarsoft mb2 then yours is a newer version than mine and ought to help you diagnose where the issue is.

Just confirm by bringing the car to a wall and looking at the datastream for the distances they are all detecting compared to the actual distance to the object. My failed sensors were so obviously wrong at 0cm.
