Hello,

Just installed a double din smart stereo into my w210...BUT Merc sent me the console trim with five buttons and I only needed four.

I have tried without success to get a blanking button but merc cant seem to find a part number for a blank one.

What else can I do apart from pay £20 for a genuine switch/button rather than a £1 blanking button which I cannot find for love nor money!

Ive been to my local vehicle dismantlers but they rarely get a merc in for breaking...

Any help would be usefull since I cannot get any info from Merc.

Many thanks

i know i know!

But the button doesnt do anything! Its a blank button since there is nothing attached to it...I just need a black button. Merc seem to have it for all the classes expect for c & e classes, which is wierd.

Id gladly pay £20 if I needed the button for something but I dont. I just need it to cover a empty slot on the console!

suppose so, do you know if they do a button which is useful for something? I.e if I decided to get folding mirrors etc? No point in shelling out another £20 later on....

If I was going to have a great big gaping hole in my dash I would. Its just part of the cost of the upgrade. I think you are a bit optimistic with your currency transfer.

I think I would exhaust all possibilities before I went down that road.

Whey hey!

Well done guys, Bushey,
Found the part without any support from Mercedes! It was a guy in Leicester...the part number is A2108202210 and it gets better, its not a blanking button bt a genuine working button (just need something to do with i!)........£8.99 delivered....marvellous..

Got it on ebay...type in the above part number and it will take you to the seller.

Hope it works out otherwise i wont be happy.

Thanks guys,
