Idle and throttle problem

Hi i am new to the forum and have just bought a 220e 93/k which is fab. But i have an idle and throttle problem, can anyone help about how to post please? I have registered and searched the site but cant find how to.

Hi and welcome. The last few cars with this problem it has been the rotary idle valve, that sits just to the left of the airflow sensor. there is a 2 pin plug on it, take off the plug and apply 12 volts momentary across the 2 pins and the valve should buzz.

If I understand correctly your car is the all electronic engine control, so will not have the rotary idle valve, that's why you probably cannot find it.

Can you better explain the problems you are having, and is the car cold and/or hot when you experience the problems.
