Idling too high

After settling down to about 900 rpm from start up at 1200 it races back up to 1500 when warmed to about 80 'Can anybody tell why it is doing it? (380SE from 1982) Thanks Herman (new at it)

if its searching and not staying constant i'd say the warm up regulator, if its constant it could be the thermo time switch not disengaging the cold start injector,have fun

Have you checked the accelerator cable?

Sounds like the idle control valve to me !!!!
