Idling

Hi All

I new there was something I was going to ask the last time,what's the tickover speed for the 500SE?,mines about 1000rpm (in neutral/park),and when put her in drive she'll tick about 6/700rpm,is this ok or does she need serviced,all replies are welcome thank you very much!!.

I would have thought that 750/800rpm was more appropriate.

650-700rpm in drive with no more than 50-100rpm
increase when taken out of drive.

Well I guess mine needs  service,cause' like I say it "jumps" from 6/700 - 1grand rpm.

Hi

The vehicle does not need servicing. But needs somebody to check the idle system & rectify which idle valve\ relay is playing up

Cheers for that I'll call my tuners tommorrow,and get it booked in,cause' they made a good job of the Saab I had.
