...as I have been for a while, may well know that the original accessory parts (Front :Q3 40 124 80 & Rear :Q3 40 124 90) are long since deleted/out of stock. The few second hand pairs that have been offered have been slightly 'modified' by wear and in some cases Sellers have wanted £15-£20 a pair still.

However, spotted (via free online translation website) that
http://www.premium-auto.ru/parts/parts.mercedes.htm
had W124 parts B66528132 (Front mudflaps) and B66528134 (Rear mudflaps) listed.

Hmmmm.

Quick check with local MB main dealers confirmed that these are indeed Official Mercedes 'replacements' of the originals, complete with Merc Star. Strange that, as they were the ones who originally told me the Q3's were deleted, were nowhere in stock and as there were 'no alternatives' I would have to go down the breakers yard route! Cheers fellas  !

Each pair £19.40 including fittings.

Ordered! Hopefully pick-up for weekend fitting :D

Sorry if old news, but thought this may be of interest to other 'Kombi' owners!

I just phoned my local Merc Dealers (Mercedes Chelmsford), gave them the 'new' part numbers, got them to reconfirm they were the correct ones and then ordered with them over telephone.

Ordered them Tuesday lunchtime, parts arrived at Dealers Thursday morning :-D .

However, work precludes me from collecting them until Monday :-(

I've just ordered a set from MB Chelsea (which is in Wandsworth, not Chelsea) using the 'Russian' part numbers. The problem seems to be that when MB changed the part numbers, that information did not go onto the the UK parts system.
