Well having now watched right through I can see that this guy should have done his homework before getting this car.
Simple fix to most of his problems being to get the right charger and stop just being lazy!
Nothing earth shattering there really
Agreed, basically an article about someone trying to do things on the cheap and then moaning about it. Know quite a few people in Norway that own Tesla's and with the basic infrastructure in place have no issues right across the winter months there.
Spoke a taxi driver in Amsterdam who was using a Tesla. His only gripev was to do with reduced range which meant in winter it needed a lunchtime half hour top up to last out the day.
I've watched this guy's videos on Teslas. He's a wiz at rebuilding them. The hoops he has had to go through when buying a used car from Tesla makes you want to have nothing to do with them. Totally incompetent.
Afterwards I watched a review of the Model 3 and the guy was a real fan but pointed out some of the ‘issues’ he had with it. The one that really surprised me is that on the one with a boot, the boot lid opened up so high that despite being 6’ 3” he had to really reach up to close it - no electric close option available and it looked like someone of average height would have great diffficulty reaching it. He also shows that the fit & finish is not that great - manufacturing defects rather than one off workmanship - at the rear the left side is a different profile to the right and is noticible in the video. This seems to indicate that when Musk went for high production on the Model 3 over high quality on the X, they are producing expensive cars still ‘in development’.
