hi,after two weeks in the garage i tryied to start my car it turned over but not start so i checked fuel okay charged battery took of dist cap cleaned and dried still no luck,
i called mate who says it could be the coil,but five months ago coil and leads where changed any ideas what would cause a brand new coil and leads to burn out

I would think highly unlikely, get a spare spark plug and sick it on the end of one the ht leads. Make sure that the plug is in contact with engine(earthed). Get a mate to turn the engine over and see if you have a spark at the plug.
Worth a go. Is the car very damp in the garage?

Put a test light onto one of the small wire on the coil and the other end to earth and see if you are getting power to the coil. The one marked + should produce a brighter light than the one marked - . Does your car have an immobiliser fitted?
