I Made The Mistake Of Charging My Battery With The Key In The Ignition. I Had Done This Before, Stupid, But Had Forgotten. I Purchased A New Battery But My Keys Will Not Work. The Ml Starts Monentarily Then Shuts Off. My Dealer, 122 Miles Away Has Stated That I Can Purchase A New Key But Must Bring The Auto In For The Key To Be Useful. I Do Not Wish To Pay For The Towing, And Wonder What Magic They Will Perform That I Cannot Do Myself. Will The Key Not Work Unless They Program It To This Vehicle? So, Does Anyone Know What To Do?

You could disconnect the battery for 10 mins to see if it will re set, give it a go
