Hi guys - I'm having problems with trying to put the 3 new ignition leads in. Got original parts from merc but they supply the cabel seperate and the cable plug for one and the suppressor plug for the end as seperate items. The cable has threads at each end so presumable it screws into the cable plug and the suppressor plug. However it is a very tight fit into the cable plug end and when I tried to rorate the lead so that it would screw in the cable just sheared. What am I doing wrong?:(

Unless the cable is oversized try a little washing up liquid on the cable. Is the cable rubber or plastic.

Silicon is a natural rubber lubricant, teflon is also good , if the rubber is much to large to go into the connectors, shave a little off ot the ends with a razor blade.
