Maybe Television can anwser this. May i know where is the ignition timing mark on the engine. model (w124). I tried with the timming light and cant see the mark. Like the japanese engine its visible from the top. w124 is new to me. TQ

The timing mark is on the crankshaft pulley. Its very hard to see as they are hidden behind all sorts of wires and pipework. As a guide there is a protrusion sticking out from the pulley (trigger for crankshaft sensor) the marks are either side of that.

Paint the mark with a dab of white paint, then it is easily visiable with the srtobe.
