hi there im new to the site but also need some help in finding out if it is easy to change the ignition barrel on a 1991 mercedes 230te any help would be great

trying to change the ignition barrel but there is a round metal cover all round tried to get it off it wont move any help on how to get this off would be great cheers hugh
