I've been looking through previous posts for illuminated sills. I've followed the sites suggested for trying to buy some. Just can't see to find anyone with stock. I want to make some subtle changes to my 1997 C200 sport.
I really want some!!! Any more places i can look.
Steve.

I know the feeling, its the dark nights coming, it will pass and I will put up a picture of mine when I get them to cheer you up :D:D

Hi All

Illuminated sills ... what's the point? Is this a car bling thing?

I have seen a MB saloon with pale blue lighting placed behind the radiator grill. Looks nice when daylight fades ... but what's the point.

I'm waiting to see a scanning red lamp behind the grill of an MB, just like 'Kit' in the 'Knightrider'. I expect some MB owner, somewhere, has done it already though.

What are the regulations concerning bling lighting? Is it legal?

What about a flourescent paint job ... glows in the dark?

Maybe to make the car in front think it's a police car? Just hope that the car in front, isn't a police car - BIG fine..!!

No. I'ts not too Bling. The ones in the car are looking a bit tired, the silver tape is bubbling, just lets the car down as you open the door.
Believe it or not i dont have a credit card so i cant order them from http://www.formymercedes.com/

Wise man,why not ask if you can send a postal or money order, they take a couple of weeks to clear, but it could be worth the wait

I think that I read somewhere that only WHITE LIGHTS must be visible at the front of the vehicle, unless an emergency vehicle, ambulance, police etc.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Lighten up ('scuse pun), its not bling in any way. the nobs that go around with these silly little blue lights on their windscreen washer jets, and underfloor neon lighting...now that, as well as being tw@t-ish, is 'bling' as 'they' call it.

As for the illuminated door sills, not only are they an added safety feature (at night) by further illuminating the area you are stepping in and out of, they also look quite cool, and understated.

I thought bling was 'out there' and 'in your face'? Dont see much bling when the doors are closed, er, particularly when driving.... and how often does one leave one's car doors open for any extended periods of time for all to see??
