hey all....Thanks for your advice in previous posts...Im back with the idle query..... It should idle faster when cold right? its not....if i adjust the idle up to what it should be when its cold (1100 rpm) the engine races when warm....The problem with the idle not being faster when cold is the car shudders and threatens to stall when put into d.....

things ive tried...

timing adjust
spark plug gaps
mixture
airfilter (new) checked for moistre in housing also
checked cold start valve from where im standing looks fine...good conections ect....
Ive also gone through EVERY relay and fuse cleaning the connections ect... I cant seem to find the OLP relay.....supposedly its in the fuse box marked R4....no such thing on my car....*looks around shruging shulders*
Also i checked some of the breathers and made sure they were clean

any help is apreciated!!!

regards

josh

There is a vacumn tube from the fuel pressure regulator to the breather tube that connects to the air filter cover, valve cover & cold start valve. The vacumn tube goes to another plastic valve in the breather tube. On the airfilter side of the breather the valve has a bulleted end with air passages for the cold start valve and the fuel pressure regulator. Remove the valve and make sure you can blow through all passages. Stick a wire through it to remove any blockages followed by some carb cleaner. Refit. Check the line to the fuel pressure regulator is not blocked and the flexible rubbers ends are not perished. You'll probably have to reset the idle speed. YMMV.
