Hi guys I have a 2003 616 sprinter. I have been trying to change out my old diff for a different ratio. But to source the parts I need I need someone to share info on there 616. My axle has a 5:75 ratio which at 70 mph the engine revs touch 4000 rpm. That's crazy.
Merc have made a 616 with a 5:12 ratio which is much better and I can source the parts to do the job but i need someone with this ratio in there 616 to share some much needed info on there 616 to cross reference my parts.
Basically if your 616 cruises at 60mph at around 3000 revs in 5th gear you have the ratio I want and getting the chassis number of your vehicle would enable me to source the correct to parts. Alternatively the data plate directly of the axle would help. I'm really stuck without help.
