Im looking to buy a W124 E 280 (95 Auto)

Hey all,

Im looking to buy a very nice E 280 and am concerned that it needs some small amount of work doing on it. One of the headlamp lenses is damaged and requires replacement as does a holy pipe at the rear of the exhaust from the last silencer. Can anyone recommend a good website to look for the parts or will it be a definite visit to a dealer? Also, it has developed some bubbling under the lip of the boot where the chrome number plate surrond is and I wondered if mercedes offered an anti corrosion guarantee on this earlier vehicle as I was surprised to find any rust at all?

Welcome to the forum Mike.

It must have belonged to a vicar then (holy pipe) :lol: You can get your exhaust section from a dealer if you want top quality at top price or go aftermarket.

Headlamp lenses are replacable (I think this applies to your year) check with nick who breaks mercs and appears in the sales/wanted section of the forum.

Unlikely to be covered by anti-corrosion warranty (Has it got full MB service at a dealer?).
