Is the belt feeder stuck out ?

If so, you need to check the door switches on the A column. There are probably two, one above the other - just push and release initially just to ensure they are free to move.

Try passenger and driver side.

If still no success you need to undo them and see if power getting to them by using one to those 12 volt light screwdrivers if no mutimeter available.

Let us know what your findings are.

Another cause may be corroded fuses this time of year.

Undo the fuse box lid and turn all the fuses in their holders and see what results you get.

This looked more involved David yes the control motors are behind the covering in C pillar,,it is the alarm bit all dead that is odd,,is there a common fuse for this, though I have details of the seat belt re tractors the wiring details are sparse

Malcolm & David
Thanks again, spent all day and ripped the car apart ,went back to the fuses for the umpteenth time and found a hairline crack it tested ok across the meter but I presume as soon as the juice went through it it opened up . what a plonker I feel but a lesson learned ,even the RACC man didnt see it, so ,me without the specs had no chance ,well thats my excuse anyway so must go searching for a replacement key now, yes thats another story thanks guys .
regards
Mick
