this is my problem. totally out of the blue my 96' c180 failied to deactivate the immobilser for no apparent reason when unlocking the car.
Normally it beebs once and the indicators flash once to activate the locking and the alarm beebs twice and flashes twice to deactivate the alarm and locking.
However on this occasion the beebs failed to sound when trying to deactivate the system even though the doors unlocked and the indicators flashed.
And then it failed to start as the immobiliser was still active.
Any thoughts on why this happend??
oh after numerous attempts it finally beebed and got working. will it happen again??
