Just bought a 94 c180.
Does a W202 C class 180 have an immobiliser fitted as standard the car has not got any alarm fitted but it has flashing red and green lights on drivers door handle and mirror the car is a M registration the reason I am asking the insurance company would like to know. Is there any way I can check I have read most; posts and they all seem to be about alarms with immobilisers the lights only flash when locking and unlocking the car

It might have an alarm. Does the indicators flash when you lock the car?
Is there a siren on the front near side at headlamp? The alarm on this year was fitted by the dealer not factory fitted.

Somewhere in the uk
These cars came with central locking which works through the key fob but don?t know about an immobiliser The Uk w202 Did not have a factory fitted alarm on it as Landover says it was an aftermarket alarm. Some models had them some didn?t. Best way to check for the immobiliser is to leave the drivers window open and lock the car with the remote and put your key in the ignition and try and start the car if it doesn?t start then you know it has an immobiliser fitted.

There is no visible alarm system fitted to the car
and there is no immobiliser on it with doors locked
you can start the car and the other thing is the indicators
don?t flash just the mirror lights red when I lock green when
I open the car through the fob any suggestions what type
of immobiliser to fit.

In my experiance, the insurance companys seem to like the Toad immobilisers. But you might want to ask your insurerance comp which one they recomend.
