Hello all,

new member here, I'm now the proud owner (inherited) of a W201 190E 2.0ltr Auto with 80,000 miles on the clock (and replaced head gasket)...

..unfortunately two weeks ago I was travelling along when suddenly the gear-box-oil-pipe burst leaving me stranded. Anyway, I got the pipe replaced and was pleased that my gear box hadn't been shot to bits but it still feels only 90-95% fit.

some questions:

I've just upgraded to some 17" AMGs and am finding that if they're >2 people in the car that the the arches are rubbing with the wheels, especially the left rear. The car also generally rolls much to much, so it appears that the suspension needs replacing...can people here recommend some springs? shoud I get sports springs? pros/cons?

Also, I know it's an auto, but is there any way of improving performance? Filters etc?

Any help will be most greatly appreciated...!

If its rolling too much then new shocks wont eliminate the problem entirely. What you should be looking at is a thicker anti roll bar.
