In Car Ring Tone

How does one change the ring tone for the MB pre-wired phone?

I have just been through the Comand book and I can see nothing about changing the ring tone on Comand 2, your is newer than mine and could be different

The other guy said that what ever is on the phone comes through Comand

I thought you changed it on the phone (could be wrong). But when the phone is connected it changes into handsfree mode (you get a little car symbol on a Nokia). This is a different profile and on nokias at least, each profile has it's own settings for ring tone, volume etc

My Bluetooth into the Comand rings with whatever the phone or caller group is set to. I do note that sometimes the phone (Nokia) displays the little car symbol and other times a headset, not sure why it chooses one over the other at times. I put it down to the vagaries of Bluetooth and technology.

I know mine is old (Nokia 6310i with pre wiring) but whatever is on the phone comes through Comand.

I have changed it on the phone a couple of times, and get the shock of my life when it comes through the car.
