Yes I check my AF october, by taking a bit out, and putting a bit in a old egg cup, then put it in the freezer for a couple of days, if it freezes ,then i add more to the header tank till i get it right, also completely renew every 3 years with what mercedes suggest

Its 50/50 from the bottle and water, Its the anti corrosion properties that they have improved which make it last longer.

Its changed colour, old 3 year stuff is green and new 15 is a reddish colour.

Thats why the newer cars you dont here of antifreeze change reqiured on servicing.

Job's a throb, then .............

Thanks for the replies, all.

It would appear a distinct possibility we could well see some of the white stuff tomorrow.

Now, that might be a welcoming sight for some but i'm off outside the back door with a cartload of aerosol cans.
Sorry 'bout the ozone layer and all - I'm up for some of that 'global warming' we've all been hearing about.:D:D

It's time to dig out the de-icer and stock up on Ready-Brek!

DoverSole (still slightly chilled)

-8C here also last night / this morning.

Car started beautifully, screen mist free in ~30sec, heated seat warm as toast in no time. Cabin up to temperature within 10min.

Pulled into office car park, car free of frost, engine purring sweetly, me warm a relaxed.

Opened car door stepped out and fell flat on my arse!!

MB generated cosy feeing shattered, sore bum, wet trousers and red face
