I've just taken ownership of a Vito 116 sport with 17" MB 5 spoke alloys. What size can I go up to without affecting any of the settings. I know I have to reduce the profile of the tyre to compensate. Any advice would be greatly received.

You can go up to 19" with no problems

8x19" ET52 fitted with 245/45 R19 102Y all round. Brabus do an 8.5x19" as well

The wheels will need to be "Load Rated" for vans though

As per above and the load rating is very important... cracking a wheel, having an accident and then finding you’ve no insurance isn’t the best day to have...
I’d also see if you can try one first so you can decide if you can live with the impaired comfort...

Thanks for the info. I will definitely get load rated ones, just worried about the electronics e.g traction control, speedo, stability those sort of things as I dont want warning lights lighting up just because I've put bigger wheels on.

As long as you go down in sidewall ratio and keep the overall diameter the same you won’t have any speedo issues

You can increase the rolling diameter some and actually improve the speedo accuracy, and reduce the revs at any given speed.
But I accept it's more usual for those wanting bigger diameter wheels to favour low profile tyres.
Expect a harder ride that rattles yer ribs though.

A useful tool for seeing the result of change.
