This is a repeat of my first post and I know it covers the same old "should I stick to a MB dealership for servicing or should I use an Independant". My car is a 2 yr old C220 Estate, It is now due B Service at 24000 miles, so my main concern is maintaining the 1 year warranty still left on it. Assuming this is possible can anyone recommend an Independant in the Sutton Coldfield, West Mids area or should I go to Andy Gayle's in Smethwick.
Any advice much appreciated
Regards

John

If you're main concern is maintaining the warranty, then try the MB Direct in Birmingham or Balsall Common
I bought my car from the Birmingham one, and I can't remember the service prices (it's too far for me) but they reckoned they where significantly cheaper than normal dealers.

MB Direct in Birmingham... That's where I bought my car.

It took them more then 2.5 hours to bleed the brakes, left my car with dirty (grease) footsteps, didn't center the steering wheel as being asked and it took them 2 weeks to get some parts...

Not sure if this is the garage you want...

John,
I had a B service on mine last week at WDM Motors in perry barr (0121 3311066 ask for wayne), with glowplugs and a new fuel valve for £330 !! Very Good service and a good price (MB Coventry wanted £470 + "extras").

I can reccommend them!!

Personally - i'm not sure what the warranty is worth, given the reports you can find on this forum, except for the dealers inflated servicing costs,
The choice, sir, is all yours
