As I understand it, you can replace the lens. You have to strip down the mirror housing but I believe the indicator lens can be removed. I haven't beeen able to pull up any instructions though.

Not sure about a CLK, but I've just changed the indicators in the mirrors on a W203 C Class. Cost was about £13 each side, the casing came off after a bit of trying!

Do you have electrically folding mirrors? If so it's really easy to do, essentially you fold the mirrors & you'll find there's a spring tab that holds the cover in place. pushing this in towards the window and sliding the cover back towards the back of the car lets you remove the cover & access the lamp unit.

The only place to buy them is from MB, they cost between £13.50 and £18.0.
it is easy to do, if you need exact instructions please ask, I think on the 208 there is a wire clip across the top of the glass that can be seen by pushing the glass in at the bottom, remove the glass, this will reveal the four screws that hold the rear cover on. You may find it easier to work on it in the house, Remove the triangle cover by prising off from the top, undo the 3 screws and unplug it.

I got them from Mercedes using a new online parts store run by Inchcape / Mercedes Oxford

http://www.mercedes-benz-parts.co.uk/default.aspx

Although some of their parts are cheaper, unless you're buying a lot your local dealer will be cheaper as the online parts store has a flat rate delivery charge of £7.50 (even on parts costing less than that!)
