Indicator Switch Replacement

Hi All

Since i don't have much information, I would hieghly appreciate if you can guide me.

There is some issue in indicator switch in my C-180 Kompressor. It trips quickly when I switch right indocator on.

It seems I need to replace it. Would you have any idea how much it should cost me? i mean

1. Indicator switch cost
2. Replacement labour cost etc

Also do i need to go to mercedes garage only?

pl guide before i take any quotations.

Also if you can suggest any garage for this work in London, will be a great help.

If you mean the indicator lights flash at a higher speed, its more likely to be the relay that is faulty.

No no.. sorry if i didn't explain properly.

I am talking about Indicator Stalk on Steering. When I switch Left Indicator On its fine but when I do it for Right hand ride, it doesn't stay for long and trips quickly

So when you turn the right side on it does not flash, and turns off again, or does it flash very fast, if it does a bulb could be blown

this is nothing to do with lights etc. Lights are proper. when i turn right side the switch it selef trips to nutral... so If i have to give right indicator, i have to keep holding the swith at right hand side..

does it make sence?

Would you have any idea of the cost of new switch? and replacement labour.. actually i am very new to cars so wouldn't like to touch it as there is air bag also....

The switch cost £87 and an MB item only.

Where do you live in the UK please and we can direct you somewhere at a good price

dont let the airbag scare you off doing it yourself. disconnect the battery first, have a cup of tea then your good to go. The airbag on mine came out in 3 mins, undid the 2 x torx 30 bolts, pull the bag unit off, disconnect the connector and stowed it away safe (metal parts facing down incase of a missfire)
