My multi-function stalk seems to have developed a fault, the indicators wont work but will when using the hazzard switch. All other functions on multi function switch do work.

The fuse blows when using hazards but I suspect thats simply down to exessive current due to problem with multi-switch...though I could be wrong.

Any ideas?

Mike.

Might be a bad hazard switch if the switch does not fully turn off then your indicators won't work, try a hazard switch first it’s the cheapest option.

MB flasher units are double pole, that is they use one half for left, and the other half for right, with hazard it uses both. I think I would start with the flasher.

Cheers, that confirms other stuff I've been reading to night!

I wonder if I unhooked the hazzard flasher will the indicators work? Or will I need new hazard switch for working signals?

I've decided to try and clean the hazzard switch contacts how do I remove the switch from the wood trim? I don't want to break anything.

you will need to remove the wooden trim in order to remove the switch. use a small screwdriver to remove the wooden trim it just clips in

Cheers, its out! :)

Agh! All that bother and the switch can't be opened up. Its got "one way" tabs so the bottom plate can't be seperated from the rest. :(
