Indicators Wont Cancell Out

My indicators which work fine will not cancell out, when the stalk is in the middle the indicator to go right comes on,i can hear the clicking noise when the stalk gos into the middle postion (for no indicators) but it dosent cancell them out hazard warning lights are working also, i had to remove fuse No 41 to get home there as i was getting some weird looks due to me trying to get the indicator off but all i was doing was going from left to right, any sugesstions much appriecated

just my luck it gos at 2.30 on a saturday afternoon its hard enough getting parts here in belfast for mercs, any idea on how much a new stalk would cost and is it a DIY job to fit

DIY? That depends on you and the car

If the car has an airbag that will need to come off. The bolt that holds the steering wheel on is, in my experience with W124s, almost impossible to get off without air tools

was on euro car parts and GSF parts they are bringing up a switch in there parts is this what i need does anyone no the what part or number i need as i can buy it and get a mate to fit it
