After we fitted new injectors in the 55 it ran well.
The next day, it started on 5 cylinders, then another fired up, then onto 8.
I didn't think much of it, just trapped air in the line. The next morning it cranked for about 6 seconds before running. Stopped off at the shop's, when I can back to the car it wouldn't start. I turned the key off, tried again and it started but rough idle for a couple of seconds. Out driving it fine.
This morning it fired straight away, you could feel the car shake for a second or 2. This afternoon it cranked for the duration of what Mercedes allow, and fired up at the last second, ran a rough as can be, then settled down.
My question is, do the new injectors need coding in or is it plug and play?
Looking through the history the last plug change was at 24,500 miles in 2006.
It's now on 132k. A new set of plugs might sort it, fingers crossed.
