Hey guys hopeing for some help!!! So a garage had wife's 2004 ML 270 CDI in for a leaking injector ( it was chuffing guzzling the diesel down like it was going out of fashion, smelling of diesel in the cab when idling ect you know the score guys they apparently replace the copper seals ( mechanic asked me what we were planning to do with car so I said well it's the wife's car for her shopping and getting kids to school ect he said oh ok well the injector is sorted for now but don't know how long it's gonna last)
Car seemed fine then the smell of diesel in cab high economy again and very loud chuffing as well as what sounds like a squeal so wife's friend is a mechanic and had a look he found the copper seal was on its side and all bent so rectified that at my go ahead however when he removed the stretch bolt a load of water gushed up through the bore he cleaned up around the bore and seat used a new stretch bolt and copper seal and now no start the engine won't crank and makes a noise that putting it bluntly sounds like a f****d up elephant please can anybody advise as the wife is very distraught about her beloved ML what makes it worse is it was left to her by her late father so holds a lot of sentimental value as well as memories
Cheers guys
