Hello everybody,

First timer here!!! I just purchased a ML350 (W163) 2003 fsh FROM DEALER 20k miles and immaculate condition. This car is loaded with literally ALL the options, bar one, the onboad computer (in the o/h , rearview mirror console).
I purchased a new unit on e-bay last evening. Upon inspection the wiring is there in the unit(in the car). Question is , is this just a plug-in or will I have to visit the dealer to activate the feature in the "control computer".
Sorry if I am wasting your time with an obvious or stupid question.
Thank you in advance,

Swanny

You can go back to your post and edit out the address as both papers have been sent.

Only when you get it will you know if the loom needs to be changed

Done!!

Just to close the tread. Got the unit yesterday. Stripped the old one out but had to dismantle both , unsolder the ultrasound glass breakage sensor and solder into new unit and the trip computer unit came without it. After assembly plugged it in and voala!!:):) All working , no hassles. Thank you television for the data how to get the roof console off!! It was , shall we say , a pig:shock:. Thanks again, would have been nigh impossible witout knowing about all the clips!!
