Instrument and console lights

Mercedes 500 SL 1994

Following lights NOT working
Instruments
Console
Climate Control
Door Panels

Following lights Working
Ashtray
Speedometer/Odometer working/dimming.
External lighting, headlights etc all working
Fuses check ok

Please advise any guidance where to check next.

Give the black knob that you set the trip mileage counter a few good sharp turns, this is the dimmer and they get poor contacts

OK then you must pull out the cluster and replace the tiny red 1 amp fuse on the rear of the cluster
