Instrument backlighting not working?

Hi,

The internal instrument and dial back lighting has recently stopped working on my W124 300E. All of the components still function and the warning lights on the dash such as handbrake on, indicators etc still work fine. The back lights don't appear to have there own fuse, does anyone have any ideas?

Its probably the bulbs for the instruments. Give the dash a quick whack. According to Dec and myself this sometimes works. If it dosen't you will have to take out the cluster to get at the bulbs probably. Another member more familiar with this model may have a different and better approach.

Turn the mileometer knob a few sharp turns, and see if they come back on

Thanks guys, a combination of clicking the mileometer knob and then turning it seemed to do the job, not something i would ever i have thought of! :eek:
