instrument cluster removal

Hi I have a 2000 SLK R170 2.3 and presently fitted is a KM speedo and odometer I have bought a MPH and Miles version and have been informed that is is just a case of swapping over and the MPH one will work in MPH no bother ? Also can anyone advise If I need to get the "new" one set to the correct 26K miles or should it just pick this up from the electronics?

Any guide to removing and replacing the cluster plus anything to watch out for ?

We had a member on here with a yellow one many years ago now. Brought it to a GTG in Amberley in 2008, I really like them. Difficult to hide in one though so you do have to be careful driving
