hi all

I recently had my w124 1990 in the garage, while it was there i asked the guy could he get hold of the temperature display athe the bottom of the cluster he said he will have a look, when i went to pick the car up he said it has been taken out along with the wires and he doesnt know how to install one,

Does anyone know the part number and if i do get one i suppose i just screw it in but where do i connect them wires and how many wires are there

can anyone shed some light on this i would really like to get one

thanx

You will need a display module, wiring harness and temperature sensor.

Additionally, if your car doesn't have cruise control, you will need a harness that splits the speed pickup output from the back of the speedo.

The MB external temp system compensates for speed and stationary effects in traffic, it is far more than just a simple temp readout.

The main problem is the display, they cost loads, I trawled eBay for ages until I got one cheap from Germany.

I do have a .pdf with fitting instructions somewhere, let me know if you get the parts and I will send it to you.

Regards,

Richard

If you have a PDF, perhaps you could put it on the Web and place a link to the page so that others can benefit from it in future.
