Hi all,
can anyone tell me how to remove the instrument cluster from a W203 c class 2001. I am trying to get to the annoying, clicking, vent blending motor behind it. God it sounds like a cricket on steroids!!

cheers

Hi again,

I've just seen the reset procedure in the main diy section, proving my previous statement. I'll give it a shot when the wife brings he errant merc home tonight! failing that it will have to be a cluster out job

I'm not sure if it's the same for the pre-face lift 203 but on my car one must ease the fingers tips between the front cowl and the cluster and release the clips holding the cowl to the dash. The cluster then lifts away revealing the cluster securing bolts. The cluster should then simple slide out.

Please don't force anything, as I say, I don't know if it's the same for the older cars!

hi again,

don't think it's the filter vent. The click is behind the instrument cluster, it seems to be the drivers side defrost vent. Fingers crossed I can get it through the cluster hole!
